Did you know: Climate change is the greatest threat to people and nature of the 21st Century.
WWF is one of the world’s largest and most respected independent environmental and conservation organisations, with almost 6 million supporters and a global network active in more than 100 countries. At WWF South Africa, our goal is to inspire all South Africans to live in harmony with nature, for the benefit of our country and the well-being of all our people.
This Earth Hour, you can join the hundreds of millions around the world who are calling for urgent action on climate change. It is the largest citizen-driven movement for the environment on our planet.
Since WWF founded Earth Hour in 2007, it has become famous for the annual switch-off between 8.30 and 9.30 PM on the last Saturday in March. But Earth hour is also about taking your action beyond the hour.
You can join the movement online, share your thoughts to recruit others, or create an event of your own on the 28th of March to celebrate the action you have taken.
You have the power this Earth Hour to change climate change.
